All about Unscented pillar candles

Who would ever want an unscented pillar candle? Isn't that part of the enjoyment of candles – smelling the wonderful fragrance?
Well, pillar candles have been around for eons. They are used in "special" situations where someone is looking more for the look of a burning candle than its fragrance, or, in other words trying to create a special ambiance. These situations would include ceremonies, weddings, special events or any place, like a restaurant, where you are trying to create a special setting, and, perhaps may have people in attendance who might react, or be allergic, to the fragrance of a candle. Additionally one usually doesn't want the fragrance of a candle to mix with the flavorful aroma or food.
What are pillar candles? They are usually a larger type of candle that is dripless, self supporting, needs no holder to set on or be contained in and burns for quite a while.
Pillar candles can be square or round, but sometimes come in other shapes. The pillar candle is usually designated by a nomenclature such as 4 x 9. This would mean the candle is 4 inches in diameter and 9 inches high. Sizes vary both in diameter and height.
Pillar candles can be smooth or textured and have 1 to 3 wicks and come in probably at least 50 different colors.
Many of the more reputable candle suppliers offer hand poured pillar candles that are then shrink wrapped to preserve their beauty and smoothness..
Pillar candles can also be set on or in holders to help make them safer.
Pillar candles can be dyed so that they are the same color through and through or some may dipped such that he outer color is different than the inner color. This may be an important factor in which you use so be careful.
There are many ways to decorate with pillar candles since you have so many options on types of pillar candles. You can combines candles by heights or colors even. Smaller candles (i.e., votive candles) can be added as an extra touch.
Pillar candles can be made from your ordinary paraffin wax or soy wax. So if you want to stay natural you have the soy option.
That about sums it up for unscented pillar candles. There are popular and useful, so if you want to create a brilliantly lit atmosphere without the overpowering fragrance, try unscented candles. With a little thought you can easily put together a beautiful and attractive display with only a minimal amount of cost.
